yesterday we were again in a longer discussion with a cheater, like we are having them every day.
To clarify it for all players and members:
We have a lot of scripts and tools which are detecting, collecting and analyzing the players behaviors.
If you run in one of those detections, we will definitely not discuss in future. If you join our TS and if you try to discuss on TS, you will get a ban.
The reason for this decision, a simple example:
1 cheater joins our TS to discuss his ban. We see a verified scripting or injection detection in our logs.
-> The cheater starts to discuss.
-> He tells us: He used a cheat for euro truck simulator and forgot to deactivate it
-> The admin needs 30 minutes (usually the discussions are longer, because we dont unban)
-> The admin involves other admins -> 2 other admins are jumping on the issue and spend 5 minutes
-> We are checking the database and the logs. He tried to inject information into Arma.
Summary: 40 Minutes for this cheater
You will not wonder, when I tell you: We dont have only one cheat ban per month.
Let us say we have 1 cheater per day in our TS (we ban a lot of more).
The month has 30 days:
30 days x 40 minutes = 20 hours
Now the conclusion:
Why should we spend a half working week per month for cheat abuses on TS? Which things could we do in this 20 hours?
Please accept the fact: We ban cheaters directly from TS. We do it without discussions and without explantations.
Feel free to open a forum post. We will take care of it, if we have some time.
We want to have fair players on our servers. If you dont accept it and want to cheat: Please play on another server.
We analyzed our cheat detections. There was no ban of well known players, of known or supported clans and not a single detection of an Armajunkies Clan Member in the last year.
Please accept the ban! Please play on another great server.
Ingame discussions:
„My friend has been banned. Now i complain ingame, will start a endless discussion about cheat detections and possible false positives.“
Please accept: Your friend could be a cheater, even if you dont expect it!
You will get a ban too, if you dont accept the admin warning. The admin is free in his decision, but we advise our admins to ban directly or after 1 warning. For cheat discussions: The admin is advised to ban permanently.
I will ban permanently if i see such discussions in RCON. That’s my way. Reason: It disturbs the whole Armajunkies Team, when they want to play after working some hours for you.
General unban discussions:
Admin 1 bans you for 2 days. And you do not accept the ban.
You talk to Admin 2.
Admin 2 will definitely not unban you, because he is not allowed to do it.
Admin 2 is allowed to ban you permanently if you dont stop the discussion.
